The last two decades have seen the growing integration of world markets. Turkey has increasingly been involved in the world economy since the 1980s. As a result of globalization, trade companies have developed new economic policies and have begun to gain new profiles. Such concepts as multinational features, configurations of international organizations, cultural organizations, and the management and organization of foreign markets should become part of the policies of these companies. Severe competition has forced companies to find professionals specialized in the fields of national and international trade during the last two decades.
The Department of International Trade offers a four-year program and aims to educate students who want to have a career in the international field. The curriculum includes courses such as computer application, marketing, economics, finance, organization, and qualitative and quantitative analysis in the first two years. Specialized courses are offered in the last two years to provide the student with a strong foundation in international trade. Since we regard work experience as of great importance, students have on-the-job training programs to increase their experience.
